Hi!! My name is Casey Ross Schooff the First and I am an upcoming Junior at the University of Michigan. I am currently traveling with a group of students from the University to Amritsar, India. We are spending a majority of our time working in the Golden Temple helping prepare meals for over 70,000 people a day. The Golden Temple is a Sikh Temple and they cook Langar - a communal meal - for people regardless of gender, ethnicity, race, caste, or religion. Follow my blog over the course of the next month to find out just how SPESHUL this city is (plus you get an insider scoop on the temple which is like super rare and I don't even think National Geographic has been granted the privilege yet...so like watch out Nat Geo, Casey Ross Schooff the First has entered the temple).
